Key Contributions and Supporting Contributions

Collaborating as a team may seem simple, but it is not. Working with people who have different mindsets, preferences and opinions can be a challenge we encounter in any work environment. However, I am proud to say that my team is strong and united. Perhaps it's because we all share a Hispanic heritage, which allows us to genuinely connect with each other. We have assumed the responsibility of committing to our team, which requires a sense of duty.

I could say that the level of commitment was evident in the preparation of Dr. Sue's Professional Learning program. We had three extensive meetings, each lasting more than three hours, to plan and organize training sessions and activities aimed at improving our classroom teaching skills.

It was not an easy task to put aside our personal activities and dedicate so many hours to teamwork. We had all kinds of memories, where we laughed, talked about personal experiences about our work, but we also got stressed because sometimes we didn't understand how to execute our ideas. The difference in character of each member was reflected in this work, some imposing more strength than others. However, we managed to achieve our goal, which was to create a well-crafted work that can help other teachers and ourselves learn to teach.

During our discussion on Dr. Kelly's Learning environments subject, team members expressed various ideas and opinions about what constitutes the best learning environment for students. Although we had different perspectives, we were able to have rich conversations and prepare our work successfully while respecting each other's opinions.

We had separate meetings to review and discuss the remaining assignments of the two subjects, not everything was PL. Each task was reviewed by the entire team and we supported each other to structure them. This is my favorite part of our meetings: when we support each other to be successful and get things done on time. Fortunately, we achieved all this successfully and we are very proud of it, we also used readings and discussion videos to support us in the preparation of our work, all the videos were accurate and useful as a tool to support our work. They were like a light that guided us to find the way in which we should carry out our tasks.

In terms of leadership, I actively participated in each of the meetings by sharing my ideas and opinions on both subjects, according to my usual practice, I conducted research before each meeting and shared my findings with my colleagues, I also took notes in a Google document During our PL meetings, it was a challenge to capture all the ideas shared by my colleagues at the same time, but I managed to complete my task successfully. Estefanía was a valuable resource as she researched extensively on the Internet and shared her findings with the group, she also mastered writing the PL as she had great knowledge on the topic. Adriana coordinated important meetings and dates, and her experience at PL was invaluable to the group. Vitalia took responsibility for collecting evidence such as photographs of each of the encounters. Each member of the group assumed a leadership role, contributing their personal knowledge and skills to ensure the success of our assignments.

Throughout the Blackboard discussions, I actively participated by publishing on the established dates and commenting on the publications of my colleagues in the Master's program. Additionally, I published posts in my e-portfolio for each of the weekly topics covered in the two subjects. As I mentioned in previous paragraphs, the videos and readings provided were very useful to reflect on each of the publications and I made sure to use APA format in all my submissions.

I am deeply grateful to my colleagues for supporting me on this adventurous journey. People come into our lives for a reason, and the purpose of our team was to achieve our goal together.
